Carly Puleo

Carly, a native of Tampa, is a dedicated businesswoman and mother of three. She has encountered more challenges than many can endure, yet she maintains a positive outlook and diligently works to overcome obstacles. Carly is deeply committed to assisting others in achieving their aspirations, with a particular focus on empowering women. Her passion for teaching is evident, as she instructs young infants in drowning prevention techniques, starting as early as six months. A drowning survivor herself from an incident in Siesta Key in 2020, where she attempted to save her husband, Carly’s resilience is remarkable. She holds a degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida and taught for five years before founding her own Woman Minority Small Business Enterprise, Carja Construction Inc., in 2012. Her first significant contract involved pouring the concrete for the Julian B. Lane Park and Visitor Center, marking a beautiful beginning for her company. Since then, Carja Construction has secured contracts for various prestigious projects, including buildings for USF, UT, UCF, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Moffitt Cancer Center, Universal Studios, Midtown, and the Waterstreet Project in Tampa.
