Advocacy: Locality Pay Would Strengthen Defenses at MacDill Air Force Base

We continue our three-part series on legislative agenda items in focus during our Chamber and Hillsborough County Delegation trip to Washington D.C. last month. In part two, we’re taking a closer look at the Federal Employees Pay Comparability Act and our advocacy efforts to revise that to benefit our local region. The Act of 1990 created a system that allowed for pay adjustments for federal employees who reside in areas with a high cost of living. There are currently 53 locality areas. The Tampa Bay region, which is home to MacDill Air Force Base, is not one of them. Click below to read more about why changing this is important for our community and national defense.
