Last week’s “Return on Relationships” workshop, conducted by Clint Babcock of Sandler Training Tampa, was a huge success, equipping attendees with practical strategies to elevate their sales meetings.

Key insights included:

Pre-Call Planning is Critical

Thorough preparation was the foundation for sales meeting success. Participants learned a step-by-step process for research, objective-setting, and anticipating challenges.

Approach with a Consultant Mindset

Rather than a one-way pitch, we emphasized the importance of collaborative, two-way dialogue. Attendees practiced techniques to position themselves as trusted advisors.

Establish Equal Business Stature

Strategies to position yourself as an equal business peer, not a subordinate salesperson, helped avoid power struggles.

The interactive workshop provided hands-on practice and peer feedback. Participants left energized and equipped with concrete skills.

We hope you’ll come and meet the service members that we are proud to call our neighbors and community partners!

A grand salute to Tampa Bay’s armed forces, this event is the business community’s opportunity to recognize the contributions of active-duty military personnel stationed with MacDill Air Force Base and the US Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg.

Guests will enjoy live entertainment, reception-style food & drink, and networking. There will be a brief formal program with remarks from our presenting sponsor and special guests followed by a raffle for our active-duty military attendees, with prizes generously donated by Chamber member organizations. This event is open to the entire community, regardless of Chamber membership. Participating local businesses participating play a key role funding the tickets of 300+ service members who receive complimentary entrances.
