On Tuesday, we had a productive Competitive Edge session discussing how to create memorable presentations. In Competitive Edge: Unlock the Secrets to Crafting High-Impact Presentations, Rick Gallegos of Dale Carnegie Tampa, broke down the critical elements of a presentation that will leave your audience feeling educated and engaged.

First, you want to capture the attention of the audience with a compelling opening. Next, you want to make sure you tailor your message to resonate with the specific needs and interests of the audience and use storytelling techniques to make your message memorable and engaging. Finally, you want to close your presentation with a powerful conclusion that reinforces your key message.

Last Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Chamber was proud to host Operation Partnership: Transition Tampa Bay, a professional development event designed to provide support to service members preparing for their transition from active duty to the civilian workforce. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between military service and corporate careers, offering a comprehensive framework to navigate the unique challenges of this transition.

The event’s agenda was tailored to equip transitioning service members with a toolkit for success. Through engaging panels and insightful discussions, attendees will gain insights into career exploration, building professional networks, understanding corporate culture, and mastering the hiring process. Speakers from top businesses and organizations from across Tampa Bay shared their expertise on topics ranging from recruitment trends and personal branding to the value of veteran talent and demystifying the hiring process. This effort between the Tampa Bay Chamber and its members underscores the community’s commitment to supporting those who have served our nation.

A special thanks to our sponsor USAA and its Site Director Keith O’Malley who also served as one of our speakers.
