!!Phishing Email Scam!!

Attention Chamber Members: Report Phishing Emails

The Tampa Bay Chamber experienced exponential growth last year in membership, member engagement, event registrations and media coverage of our programs/initiatives. Sadly, the Chamber’s increased public profile has also caught the attention of scammers. These phishing emails pretend to come from financial or other trusted institutions and contain links to fake websites or criminals who steal your financial information. Beware of emails offering our Chamber’s email registry and contact information for our 1,400 member companies, in exchange for $$. Our Chamber does NOT sell or share the any contact information of our members.  Our staff will be taking the extra step of reporting any phishing emails we receive, directly to the email providers – as this is a violation of user agreements with Gmail, outlook, etc. We encourage you to do the same, if you receive a phishing email of any kind whether it involves our Chamber or not. The increased reporting will help reduce the access and success rate of these scam artists.

How to report abuse:

Gmail, forward the email to: Abuse@gmail.com

Yahoo, forward the email to: phishing@yahoo-inc.com

Hotmail and Outlook, forward the email to: abuse@outlook.com
