The Tampa Bay @ Sunset event on September 7th provided more stunning views of Tampa! This time, Chamber guests enjoyed the vistas from AVE Tampa Riverwalk. The new state of the art residential community is located in the heart of Downtown, across from the performing arts center, the Tampa Museum of Art and the iconic Henry B. Plant Museum at the University of Tampa. At the networking reception, Business Development Manager Logan Zoiti welcomed Chamber members, thanked local restaurants who provided delicious hors d’oeuvres, and shared AVE’s unique blend of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, plus short-term and nightly, hotel-style accommodations. For Chamber Member Ruth Revilla of REACHUP, Inc. the sunset event included a surprise. She won a staycation at AVE during the event raffle. “I’m so excited! This place is beautiful,” said Revilla, who also attended Tampa Bay @ Sunset earlier this year inside a historic cigar factory building in West Tampa. “This event is such a great way to promote businesses here in Tampa. I didn’t know about this place and now I’m inspired to bring others and tell people about what AVE is doing. I love it!”

Time is running out for local businesses to apply for the Chamber’s Minority Business Accelerator 2025 Cohort. The program was recognized on the global stage by the World Chambers Federation, named a finalist for Best Chamber Model of Innovation. Among the success stories shared with the panel of international judges was Ashley Butler’s of Ice Cold Air. When Ashley began the accelerator, she was the franchise owner of a discount auto repair in Hillsborough County. Today, she is the franchisor of all 16 Ice Cold Air locations across five counties!

The deadline to apply for the next Cohort of the Minority Business Accelerator is September 18th. To be eligible, applicants must be Black and/or Hispanic owned businesses from Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk or Manatee counties.
